Take your ordinary popcorn and make it POP with COLOUR…using Jell-O! It’s super simple to make this rainbow candied popcorn, perfect for birthday parties.

Ingredients:
2 x bags of microwave popcorn (popped). Make sure you don’t use butter flavoured.
½ cup of unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup of light corn syrup *you want to ensure the corn syrup is clear in colour.
Jell-O of your choice. You can choose to have however many boxes, depending on how many colours you want to make.

Directions:
Preheat oven to 275F.
Make sure your popcorn is popped, remove any kernels that didn’t pop.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, and spray with cooking spray
Place your popcorn in mixing bowls (the number of mixing bowls will depend on the number of flavour (colours) you decided to make).
Melt butter, sugar and corn syrup in a saucepan., over medium heat.
Add in Jell-O mix *you might need to do in batches depending on how many colours you decided to make
Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Once boiled, carefully pour syrup mixture over popcorn in mixing bowl. Using a spatula, toss to ensure the mixture coats all of your popcorn.
Spread candied cover popcorn onto the cookie sheet and baked for 20 mins.
Remove from oven and let cool completely.
