The Spirit Awards were handed out last night honoring the best in Independent Film. Congratulations to ‘The Farewell’ winning Best Feature and Best Supporting Female.  Olivia Wilde won ‘First Feature’ Award for ‘Book Smart’ , Renee Zellweger won Best Female Lead for ‘Judy’ and Adam Sandler, who many felt was overlooked by the Academy, won Best Male Lead for ‘Uncut Gems’.  Adam’s acceptance speech was a highlight of the night.
