Growing up, my mom was a nurse at our local hospital. Everyone in the community knew her and I could tell, admired her greatly. That hospital is where I was born. It’s where I had stitches, a cast, and was diagnosed with appendicitis. For my mom, it was also where she died at the age of 42. Another nurse and great friend held her hand as she passed. How lucky we were to have had that hospital.

All these years later, I am proud to support my community hospital, St. Joseph’s Health Center on the Queensway. This local hospital serves as a place of care for over 500,000 people.

As a current member of the Foundation Board of Directors, I am supporting St. Joe’s by riding in Cycle 4 St. Joe’s on Sunday, September 22nd.

So, come ride with me!  I’d love for you to join my team. If you are interested, in joining click here.

If you cannot join me, please consider supporting me and my goal to raise $25,000 by clicking here.

Your support is greatly needed and appreciated in improving patient and community health care. Every dollar we raise will be put to great use to build better spaces to care for our ever-growing community, ensure the physicians and health care teams have the best equipment and technology to diagnose and treat patients, and create specialized areas to care for those in our community with specific health needs.

This is really important to me because I know how much we depend on having great care in our west-end community. We never know when we will need it but knowing it will be there for us is great comfort.

Thanks for your support!

Warm regards,
Darren
