Marine photographer Rainer Schimpf was on assignment in South Africa when he found himself inside a whale’s mouth!
Schimpf was taking photos of sharks feeding during the annual sardine migration in South Africa, but as he was concentrating on the sharks he didn’t realize there was a far larger animal coming to the surface.
Schimpf suddenly saw the pitch black inside of a Bryde’s whale’s mouth!
