Last year the Pixar animated short ‘Bao’ ran before the movie Incredibles 2 at theaters.  It tells the story of a Chinese mom who is sad when her grown son leaves home and she gets another chance at motherhood when one of her dumplings comes to life. It is a heartwarming story beautifully animated. The short film was written and directed by Toronto raised, Sheraton College grad, Domee Shi who has worked on other Pixar films. With this nomination Bao becomes the first female-directed Pixar short to be nominated for an Oscar.  So exciting for Domee! You know who we will be cheering for come Oscar night Feb. 24
