This could be an absolute game changer in the texting world!

Reports are that WhatsApp, the Facebook-owned messaging app, is testing a feature that would allow a user to edit or revoke a message that has already been sent.

Have you ever sent an awkward text that you IMMEDIATELY regretted and hoped there was a way you could take it back?

There IS a catch though…

The feature reportedly only works if the person receiving the message has not read it yet; on WhatsApp, a ‘Read’ message is signified by a blue check mark. So to be clear, even if the message has been received the feature will work, so long as it hasn’t been read.

Twitter user @WABetaInfo discovered the new feature, which is currently being tested on beta versions on Android and iOS.

WhatsApp is also reportedly testing a “live location tracing” feature that will allow you to track the people that you are interacting with in real time.
