It was a record-breaking weekend, for the new Illumination and Universal’s The Secret Life of Pets! The movie took the #1 spot at the box office this weekend by opening to $103 million! Breaking the record previously held by Pixar’s Inside Out--which debuted with $90.4 million–with the largest opening for an original, animated property! ( My daughter Noelle and I saw it at the Drive In in Oakville, and we both LOVED it! SO funny!) Meanwhile, The Legend of Tarzan landed in second place by adding $20.6 million and Finding Dory fell to third while still adding $20.3 million. Did you see any of the weekend’s biggest movies!?
