The “Hidden Smiles,” project is done by Access Point on Danforth with the help of a small group of volunteer sewers. We have been producing cloth face masks for the vulnerable community (newcomers, low-income, seniors, homeless) members to protect themselves and others around them when accessing the public areas for their essential needs. The masks are supplied to community members for free. Many community members are in need of a face mask during this time and cannot access or afford the high cost clinical masks from the market and this is the least we can do to support them and contribute to flattening the curve.
We have made more than 500 masks in the past three weeks and will continue making more. Since we are a non profit agency, we are seeking support through donations to buy the fabric and supplies needed to make the masks. You can support the project by donating through our website. Every donation is appreciated! #wegotyoucovered
