This Wellness Wednesday, Darren & Mo talk about how you can help support your community.

There are many ways that you can support your community, and a small act of kindness can go a long way.

Here are some other ways you can help:

  • Offer to pick up and drop off groceries for those that may be immune compromised.  Remember, when you drop the groceries off, it’s best to leave them on the porch to reduce the amount of contact.
  • Check in on your loved ones.  Even though you can’t visit them in person, a daily phone call, text, or email can help to brighten their day.
  • Support local restaurants by ordering take out or delivery.  Many places are now offering online or app based ordering with contactless delivery, making it easier than ever to eat your favourite take out dishes at home.
  • Be kind and send positive messages.  From window art to sidewalk chalk, reading a bright, colourful message can go a long way to help build someone’s spirits.

Our friends at aroma espresso bar are also doing their part. They’re helping to support Toronto’s homeless community by donating soup to Fred Victor kitchens and Haven Toronto – both organizations that do great work in our city. Thousands of people will benefit from aroma espresso bar’s generosity.
