Keep in mind, with everything happening in and around Nathan Phillips Square for their yearly NYE celebrations, expect road closures and restrictions.

 

FULLY CLOSED:

 

  • York St. – Richmond St. West to Queen St. West
  • Elizabeth St. – Foster Pl. to Hagerman St.
  • Hagerman St. – Elizabeth St. to Bay St.
  • Queen St. West – Yonge St. to University Ave.

 

RESTRICTED TO LOCAL TRAFFIC: 

 

  • Albert St. – James St. to Bay St.
  • James St. – Queen St. West to Albert St.
  • Bay St. – Dundas St. West to Richmond St. West

Below is a list of some firework shows happening in and around the GTA.

 

 

 

Mississauga’s Celebration Square

Event includes food trucks, musical performances and a firework display.  Even begins at 8PM.

  • ALSO: MiWay transit will be FREE – New Year’s Eve 7PM – Jan 1, 4AM.

 

 

City of Toronto 

Toronto is hosting their yearly New Year’s Eve celebration at Nathan Phillips Square.  Event begins at 8PM and will include skating, live musical performances and a firework display.

  • ALSO: The TTC will be completely free this NYE – New Year’s Eve 7PM to Jan 1, 7AM.

 

 

City of Brampton’s New Year’s Eve

At Brampton’s City Hall – outdoor skating all day, family activities and a dance party.

At Garden Square – Shawn Hook will be performing, other musical performances and a firework display.  Garden Square begins 8PM

  • ALSO: Brampton Transit will be free from New Year’s Eve 7PM to Jan 1, 1:30AM.

 

Transit

TTC will operate on a Sunday Schedule on Jan 1.
