This year marks the 115th Original Santa Claus parade and we can’t wait!

Before the parade kicks off at 12:30pm, watch for hundreds of participants in the Holly Jolly Fun Run decked out in their merriest Christmas apparel race through the 5K route.

Following the runners (at a much slower pace of course!) will be the Celebrity Clowns, a tradition which began in 1983.  This year, over 150 Celebrity Clowns, and 50 Junior Clowns will frolic their way along the parade route, warming hearts and putting smiles on the faces of all the parade goers that line the sidewalks.

If you haven’t had a chance to experience the parade firsthand, here’s a trip down memory lane featuring some of our favourite memories from last year’s parade.

If you would like to register to run in the The Holly Jolly Fun Run, there’s still time.

Register now at www.thehollyjollyfunrun.com and on parade day, you’ll get to take part in the most festive 5K of the year, running along the parade route, and being cheered on by thousands of people!

The parade begins at 12:30 in the afternoon at Parliament & Bloor and travels west on Bloor St where you can catch Darryl Henry and the CHFI Christmas Elves broadcasting live from Rogers Building.

And don’t forget to get Red Nose Ready for the parade.  This year, Metrolinx stations around the GTA will be selling Red Noses at checkout locations from November 13th to 17th, or at a Metro from November 12-18th!
