Brace yourselves. This performance will hit you right in the freakin’ feels.

On February 24, Canadian gold medalists (and frankly, the country’s national treasures) Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir hit the ice for one last time in Pyeongchang accompanied by the iconic voice of the late Gord Downie.

The stunning dance was performed to “Long Time Running,” a famous song by the band The Tragically Hip. In an interview last week, Moir called the Hip “the soundtrack to being Canadian.” Of the decision to honour Downie and the band, Virtue said, “It’s been lovely to take the ice and to celebrate a Canadian hero, and it means a lot to us.”

The performance all but secured Tessa and Scott’s positions as Canada’s number one sweethearts.

Does it get more Canadian than this?
