He’s the Head Coach of the UConn Huskies Women’s basketball team.  A team that has currently won over 100 consecutive games.  They are on track to win their 5th consecutive NCAA National Championship and he regularly gets asked about his secret to winning.  While he likely will never give up ALL of his state secrets when it comes to his offensive or defensive schemes, he was willing to shed a little light on the “type” of player he looks for.  It’s a great 2:00 minutes of truth for all parents of young athletes AND the kids themselves.

In a world where kids are growing up focused more on how they look and how many points they get…the head of the best basketball program in the ENTIRE country – doesn’t care.

Here’s what UConn Head Coach Geno Auriemma DOES care about…

Some very good advice for anyone who has a young athlete in the family.
