Ever heard the theory that Star Trek predicted technological advances? Cellphones (communicators), Google translate (universal translator), Teleconferencing (Enterprise video screen), LOCAD, a NASA device that detects unwanted microorganisms such as E. coli, fungi and salmonella (tricorder).

Well, AT&T also predicted the way technology would evolve. Check out their commercials from 1993 (voiced by Tom Selleck). The commercials predict services/products such as GPS, Skype for business, FaceTime, StubHub, Wikipedia, Wireless e-mail, Smartphones/tablets, Transponder payment/Debit or credit ‘tapping’, Netflix and Rogers On Demand, online learning, and more.
