Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, are coming to Toronto, May 21 and May 22!

The pair will visit Queen’s Park on the 22nd and take in some Victoria Day fireworks on the same day. The visit is part of the 2012 Royal Tour.

It will be the 16th time Prince Charles has toured Canada and the second for Camilla.

“Occasions such as this are rare. The only other time Canada celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of a reigning King or Queen was for Queen Victoria in 1897,” James Moore,  Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages said.

During their visit to Toronto the couple will attend a meeting with the National Leadership of Assembly of First Nations, and take part in a special military event that will commemorate the War of 1812.

This will also be Camilla’s first visit to the Queen’s Own Rifles where she has become Colonel-in-Chief of the regiment.

The couple will also pay a visit to Saint John and Gagetown in New Brunswick on May 21 and Regina on May 22 and 23.

A full itinerary will be announced closer to the start of the tour.
