The 29-year-old star of Canada’s women’s soccer team lifted her squad to a bronze medal at last summer’s Olympics, Canada’s first medal in a traditional team sport since 1936.

Bolt became the first person to ever defend double Olympic gold in the 100 and 200 metres on Thursday, putting up a time of 19.32 seconds to take the longer distance and his second gold medal of these Games!

Derek Drouin has won Canada’s first track and field medal at the London Olympics. The Corunna, Ont., native won bronze in men’s high jump on Tuesday, finishing in a three-way tie with Britain’s Robert Grabarz and Qatar’s Mutaz Essa Barshim!

Ahead of his final Olympic Games, Canadian sprint swimmer Brent Hayden had already earned almost every honour in the sport. A world champion, A Canadian record holder and Commonwealth Games champion, Hayden had just one gap in his trophy case.
