Of course the best, and most obvious, cure is to refrain from drinking too much, but just in case, here are a few tips to avoid a nasty hangover.
Dehydration is a major cause so make sure to drink lots of water or a sports drink with electrolytes before going to bed.
To relieve a headache make sure you’re careful what you take, because some pain relievers don’t mix well with alcohol.
For nausea, try something like Gravol or having a light snack before, or after, drinking.
Health officials say one common “cure” which doesn’t work is caffeine, while drinking more alcohol the next morning is also not recommended.
Always remember, if you do choose to celebrate, pick a designated driver, take a cab or public transit or find somewhere within walking distance to stay.
Be advised that police will beefing up their presence with RIDE spot checks.
