Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kevin Olusola, Kirstin Maldonado and Matt Sallee, a.k.a. my favourite acapella group Pentatonix  just unveiled their latest cover, Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”.

Like they do with most of their covers, they went ahead and made an original song sound even better, and I REALLY like Ed’s version.

Their cover of “Perfect” was a favourite of Kevin as he told Billboard, ‘Perfect’ was the most special to me. That is a timeless, beautiful song Ed Sheeran wrote.”

He added, “I’m really happy we did that one, and I got to play cello on it, adding my own flair. We don’t usually put cello on our records — we do it live — so being able to play cello on a record was really special.”

The group released their album of covers, PTX Presents: Top Pop Vol. 1 on Friday and the album features other covers of Camila Cabello’s “Havana”, Charlie Puth’s “Attention” and Dua Lipa’s “New Rules”.
