Fans gave Braden Halladay a standing ovation as he took the field in Dunedin to take on the Blue Jays in the annual Jays – Canadian Jr. Team match up. Braden is Team Canada’s newest pitcher and hoping to follow in his late father’s foot steps. Before Roy Halladay died in a November plane crash, he coached his son on all things pitching. They’d talk mechanics, of course, and they’d also discuss the mental side of the game, with Roy attempting to impart some of the lessons it took him years to learn. Sportsnet has the complete story with video. We wish you much success Braden!
