This story is enough for us to believe in fate again.

According to Channel News AsiaMr. Ye and Mrs. Xue were rifling through old photos when they realized that they’d crossed paths 11 years prior to actually meeting. And there was photo evidence!

The couple met and fell in love in 2011, and they soon after married and gave birth to twin girls. Little did they know that they had been mere feet away from one another in July 2000 at the May Fourth Square in the city of Qingdao.

Mr. Ye was looking at old photos of his wife to see if their babies resemble Mrs. Xue when he found a photo with him in the background.

“I heard her mention before that she had been to Qingdao, while I also went to Qingdao and took pictures at the May Fourth Square,” Mr. Ye told Sina News. “When I saw the photo, I was taken by surprised and I got goosebumps all over my body … that was my pose for taking photos. I also took a photo, it was the same posture (as captured in Ms Xue’s photo), just from a different angle.”

Mr. Ye hurried home to find the picture he took at the May Fourth Square and the result is wild. He shared the photos side by side to his social media, and the story instantly went viral.

“It seems that Qingdao is certainly one of the most special cities (for us). When the children are older, we will go to Qingdao again and the family will take a photo again,” Mr. Ye said.
