Production on the long-running game Jeopardy! was suspended recently to allow host Alex Trebek to recover from brain surgery.  The 77-year old who was born in Sudbury, went to Cedars Sinai Medical Center on December 15th after he experienced some complications after hitting his head in a bad fall from a couple of months ago.

In a YouTube video shot in his home, Trebek downplayed the whole incident.

Since Jeopardy! is taped months in advance, there’s still plenty of unaired episodes for viewers to watch. The only change in the show’s schedule will be a delay in the show’s annual college championship.

We’re all wishing you a speedy recovery, Alex! Look forward to seeing you back on Jeopardy! real soon!
