Drake brought his annual OVO Fest back to Budweiser Stage on Monday night, and the 8th edition of the fest will be remembered as much for an appearance by Toronto’s most iconic building, as it will for the slew of hip hop stars that joined Drizzy on stage!

When the black OVO Sound curtains dropped just after 9pm, Drake appeared sitting on top of a giant replica CN Tower, impressively recreating his ‘Views’ album cover.

The crowd erupted as Drizzy opened the fest with ‘Free Smoke’, ‘Know Yourself’ and ‘Jumpman’.

It wouldn’t be an OVO Fest without a ton of surprise guests, and Drake did not disappoint his hometown crowd with his choices this year! Artists like Playboi Carti, Rae Sremmurd, French Montana, Cardi B, the Migos, Travis Scott and PARTYNEXTDOOR all took their turn on stage with the 6 God!

Also, Drake officially ended his beef will fellow Toronto artist Tory Lanez, inviting him onstage to perform his remix of Drake’s own ‘Controlla’.

“This guy right here, we had problems with each other and we hadn’t even met each other,” Drake said to the audience following their peformance. “I met the man and he’s a great guy.”

The parade of guests didn’t end there, as Drake turned the stage over to Nelly, who performed his classic hits ‘EI’, ‘Country Grammar’, ‘Ride Wit Me’ and ‘Hot in Herre’.

Drake saved his biggest guest for last, as The Weeknd took to the stage to perform ‘Reminder’ and ‘I Feel It Coming’, before Drake joined him onstage to perform their hit ‘Crew Love’ together.

It was an OVO Fest for the ages, and Drake made sure to let Toronto know that he’ll be back with new material for them in 2018 before he exited the stage.

‘I found a place here, so I’m going to go back to making this new album in Toronto, just for you. I will see you next year, we’ll be bigger, we’ll be better, I go by the name of Drake, and it’s an OVO Sound ting for life.”
