Today’s a dark day across the world. Science has determined that Instagram is bad for your health. 🙁



Mashable, reporting on the study done by the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) and the Young Health Movement (YHM), says: “Instagram is the most damaging social network to young people’s mental wellbeing, and causes feelings of inadequacy and anxiety, according to a survey of around 1,500 14- to 24-year-olds.”



The study asked 1,500 14-24 year olds to score Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, and Instagram on 14 well-being related issues. YouTube was the only platform to have a positive impact.


The researchers said that Instagram and Snapchat are the worst because of the visual and image focused nature of these apps.


We can’t say we weren’t surprised by this finding, but we still love you Instagram.
