Guess what? More traffic chaos this weekend as the Toronto Marathon hits the streets this weekend.

Road closures begin at 6 a.m. on Sunday for the event, which consists of the full marathon, half-marathon, relay marathon, and five-kilometre run and walk.

The full marathon starts at the North York Civic Centre at 7:30 a.m. and runs along Yonge Street from Finch Avenue to Davenport Road, while the half-marathon gets underway at 8:30 a.m.

Some lane restrictions will also be in effect in the area bounded by Bayview Avenue, South Kingsway, Lake Shore and Finch.

Several ramps on the Gardiner and the Don Valley Parkway will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. They include:

  • Gardiner ramp to eastbound Jarvis Street (no access to Jarvis, but Lake Shore will remain open)
  • Gardiner ramp to northbound Spadina (no access to westbound Lake Shore)
  • Spadina ramp to westbound Gardiner (no access to westbound Lake Shore)
  • DVP Bayview/Bloor ramp (no access to southbound Bayview Avenue)
