…as people on the coast prepare for the worst.

A friend of mine lives in New York, and she posted on Facebook  that at the grocery store this afternoon there were about 100 people in line in front of her.  It’s like “everyone is preparing for Armageddon”, she wrote.  There’s no question New York is going to be hit hard…almost 400,000 people have been told to evacuate; the subway will be shut down at 7 tonight, and (this almost never happens) the New York Stock Exchange is going to close its trading floor tomorrow, first time in 27 years.  The casinos in Atlantic City are all shuttered as New Jersey is in lockdown mode; in fact there are 50 million people…50 million!…along the US east coast who are going to be in Sandy’s way.   How will it affect us?  Click here to find out what Sandy, now the biggest tropical storm in history…has  in store for the GTA and Southern Ontario.
