The second biggest discount retailer in the U.S. has confirmed it will open 125 stores in Canada in 2013!Almost all the locations are former Zellers stores. Each site will be closed for a period of six to nine months for extensive renovations. Target is spending more than $10-million remodeling each location.

Target expects to employ between 150 to 200 people at each store and has already started hiring its store leadership.

There will be 24 Target stores opening in Ontario next year, including four in Toronto.
