Tim Hortons, in its ongoing battle to lure customers from other coffee chains, will soon introduce a Starbucks staple: free Wi-Fi!
The Canadian coffee giant has announced it will roll out free Internet to 90% of its stores, more than 2,000 locations, by September.
“It’s all about convenience and making life easier for our guests,” Roland Walton, chief operations officer of Tim Hortons, said in a statement Thursday.
Starbucks has offered complimentary Wi-Fi at its Canadian locations for two years.
McDonalds, a relatively new competitor in the speciality coffee market, has had free hot spots at more than 100 stores in Canada since last year. from: torontosun.com
