…no, it’s heaven.  My kind of heaven!  And you could be going there, you lucky so-and-so!

 

I love watching planes land.  I get it from my dad.  He would tell me of the days when there were no fences around Pearson, called Malton Airport back then, and he’d walk right up to the end of the runway and snap pictures.  Cool!  You can’t do that anymore…but…the next best thing?  The airport in St. Maarten…this week’s destination with the CHFI Trip-a-Day Giveaway!  The island is so tiny and hilly, they’ve had to tuck the runway right up against a beautiful, sandy beach.  And as the picture shows, the planes come in right over your head.  You can practically touch them!  There’s a cool little bar right there too, and on the blackboard the owner doesn’t post the specials…but the arrival times of all the jets!  Yep, heaven.  HEAVEN!  Oh yeah and St. Maarten also has great food, shopping, turquoise blue water, scenery, all that stuff.  You know, if watching planes land isn’t your thing.  Weirdo.
