Ottawa’s Hélène Campbell has made a second appearance on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
Helene, 21, appeared on the show via Skype from her Toronto home. Her appearance included a video of her dancing in various locations in a mall! It’s been quite the week for Campbell, who received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal Wednesday. Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his wife Laureen stopped by Campbell’s Toronto home to personally pin the medal on her lapel.
Harper said she is receiving this honour for her courage and her tremendous work in raising awareness for organ donation.
On Thursday, she gave her first interviews since her double-lung transplant seven weeks ago. Campbell, her parents and her doctors updated the media on her recovery at a Toronto hospital.
You can register to be an organ donor in Ontario at beadonor.ca.
Still looking forward to seeing Helene dancing with Ellen on her show!

Good for her! It’s truly a miracle to see her dancing again! It really is a gift of life to donate an organ isn’t it?(I used to have an old “Bontempi” organ that I used to be when I was in my teens at home in Scarborough! HA! HA! Remember those?). Wish her well! Makes me glad that I’m alive and keeps me motivated in pursuing my dreams! There is hope isn’t there?
