Sporting Life 10K is closing streets in Toronto today. A small inconvenience for a big cause. 100 percent of the proceeds from this year’s run go to Camp Oochigeas in Muskoka, where kids with cancer experience the best of summer camp. Kids just like the ones in this video at Seattle Children’s Hospital lip-syncing to Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger”. Video was the idea of 22 year old Chris Rumble, an inspiring film maker diagnosed with cancer. He made this touching video staring the nurses and other kids at the hospital which has now gone viral and Kelly Clarkson calls “amazing.”

I love that song “Stronger” by Kelly Clarkson because it’s so “motivating” and so “hopeful” as well. I dream of “making a difference” which also makes me “stronger” as well in terms of putting my past behind me. Sick Kid’s Hospital would certainly help me with that through what I call m “Patch Adams” dream (based on my all time favorite movie and inspiration for RAINBOWRAY. I’ve seen the movie four times at least and I find it funnier and more inspirational each time I watch it. Dream of watching it with Fiona one day. A beautiful story about a beautiful man, Hunter “Patch” Adams whose story inspired me to create RainbowRay). He was in Toronto a few years ago and I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to hear him speak. I still dream of meeting him one day and learning about his story,. I believe he still runs that hospital i the states (The Gesundheit). Robin Williams was brilliant and hilarious in the role of Patch Adams (one man who can make me laugh would be him). Patch Adams as depicted in the movie also went through his own heartach and pain (his girlffriend was murdered by one of the patients at the hospital and he wanted to quit and give that dream up, but he never did; he kept going). Another reason why for RainbowRay and Eric to keep going, right>
