I rememember Davey Jones further back than the Monkeys. I first saw him in New York, in Oliver playing the Artful Dodger. He was great back then. Watched the Monkeys also, but it was a different kind of a show, kind of silly.
Still sad to see my youth go *s

Sad news. I used to dance around our family room (as a 6 year old) singing ‘Hey, Hey I’m a Monkee’ cause I really wanted to be one! Needless to say, my family had their own opinions on that statement. Davey Jones was my first ‘real’ crush as a pre-teen. His presence will be missed in the world.

Sorry to hear of his passsing (rest in peace Davy). I remember listening to The Monkees when I was in my teens and have never stopped listening since. I remember watchng the Monkees on tv after coming home from schol ( classic nostalgia). I LOVE YOU FIONA! STill BELIEVING IN MIRACLES (You ARE MY MIRACLE!)
My favorite Monkee’s tunes are “I’M A BELIEVER”, “DAYDREAM BELIEVER” and “LAST TRAIN TO CLARKSVILLE” (if your a chicken it would probably be “Last Train to Clucksville”, right? HA!)
The world needs a RAINBOWRAY and ERIC”S MIRROR more then ever with the help of KINDNESS FROM STRANGERS (would you like to win an emmy Nancy?).
