It could happen, after the next election…!
With a provincial election looming, selling booze at corner stores could be a hot topic.
The latest Angus Reid poll finds that a majority of Ontarians are all for the convenience.
Ontario convenience store owners are pushing to get the issue of selling beer and wine at corners stores flowing on the campaign trail.

“If you’re throwing a family barbeque or a picnic or anything, rather than having to jump in a car and drive 15 kilometres to a beer store, you could go to your local convenience store like we see in Quebec and we see in Newfoundland,” Dave Bryans, president of the Ontario Convenience Stores Association, explained.
As of Wednesday, a Facebook page called “Free Our Beer” is up and running and already has over 100 “likes.”
I am LOVING this idea! Why are we so behind other provinces in this? Would you be on board for liquor at the corner store?

If you want to limit your choices in beer selection and possibly force many small breweries out of business;
If you want it to be much easier for children and teens to purchase beer;
If you want all alcohol empty containers to end up in our dumps
and if you want prices to increase because distribution costs will increase exponentially,
then go for it!
However, if you want a vast selection and choice of products including imports and craft brewers;
if you want fully trained people who take responsible sale of alcohol very seriously;
if you want empties to be recycled to help save our environment
if you want reasonable beer prices, choice, customer service, environmental and social responsibility, then support your Beer Store.

Hello, chfi………………
I lived in Maryland for 7yrs….it was awesome…out there….but got really home sick, n moved back home…
There are corner stores and even drive thru….liquor stores…..that was the best, and most convenient, especially when ur comin home late from a long day at work.(SouthWest Airlines) was my job at the time….and the drive thrus were open till 2am one was literally 2mins frm my appartment…..Canada is soooo far behind with the times wen it comes to re-inventing themselves….Especially in the L.C.B.O…industry…..All im sayin, is this…If Canada woke up n realized, that if u were to add alcoholic beverages in our corner stores….for those of us that drink responsibly…..I personnaly think that there would not be soooo many DD charges….for those who arent that responsible…..it would save a lot of lives…n time…..and put more $$$$$ in the L.C.B.O………pot……Im jus sayin!!!!!!!!!!!!lol…………
