We have the Fireplace channel, the Sunset channel, the Aquarium channel….what’s next?
It’s all about the Rotisserie Channel.
Yes, you read that right: The Rotisserie Channel — a channel that’s dedicated to showing spinning, cooking chickens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (my mouth is watering already)
The channel will be launched Feb. 28 on channel 208.
Rogers was approached with the idea by the Swiss Chalet chain of restaurants and their advertising firm, BBDO Toronto. While Rogers has other 24/7 channels — like the Aquarium Channel and the Sunset Channel — this is the first time a company has approached the cable company with their own proposal.
(Can the hamburger channel, and the pizza channel be far behind?…What about the beer channel?)
More details here.

A Rotisserie channel?? That’s rich, it must have taken Swiss Chalet alot of “pluck” to come up with that idea. I mean, whose “Feathers did they have to ruffle to come up with that idea?” I myself like the idea of a “Test pattern channel” where you watch nothing but test patterns (remember those coloured bars?). I could record it on my DVD recorder.
Both rather amusing ideas I think.
