Captain John’s Has Been Sold

Captain John’s floating restaurant in downtown Toronto has been sold to North American Seafood Exchange for $33,501 to turn it into scrap metal, a court decided Thursday.  North American said it is open to partnering with another company who’d want to restore it into a functioning restaurant again.

If you only see one music video this year featuring twerking ice cream, make it this one.(ETCanada.com) Katy Perry has released her brand new promo for “This Is How We Do” and it’s a jumbo-sized cavalcade of pop art visuals and wardrobe time travel. It’s also a remarkably edible video, complete with dancing ice cream, airborne breakfast and watermelon slices that look like they’ve been pried out of the Sunday funnies.  We have Katy’s “This Is How We Do” video at the ready inside. 80 Years Of ‘Happy’

Sixty residents and staff at the Diana Isaac Retirement Village in Christchurch combined all their considerable talents to come up with this tribute, 80-odd years of happy. The residents wanted to show their children and grandchildren just what they’re made of!  Here’s hoping we’re all this ‘Happy’ when we reach their age..!

Rogers Teams Up With WWE For The Next 10 Years

Great news for wrestling fans..! Rogers Communications Inc. announced Thursday it has penned a 10-year broadcast and multimedia agreement with global sports-entertainment WWE.

As part of the deal, Rogers will have exclusive access to WWE pay-per-view events in Canada until 2024.

Ontario Place To Reopen To Public By 2016 With New Park, Promenade

The first phase of Ontario Place’s redevelopment will not open in time for the July 2015 Pan and Parapan Am Games as previously hoped.  The first phase of the multi-million dollar redevelopment of the defunct site — a three hectare park and waterfront trail — will open to the public as early as 2016, Ontario Tourism Minister Michael Coteau announced at a news conference Thursday.
